Toft has an active Historical Society which meets monthly and is researching the village. It has held a number of exhibitions:
- Toft School - a look at the history, personalities and events surrounding the old school
- Farming in Toft
- Toft at War - how war has impacted on the village
- Mapping Toft - how Toft has developed as a village, and how this is reflected in maps.

The Society is in the process of creating a comprehensive website with the history of Toft, accessible via a series of maps. Some sample documents are available - click here for details.
